About Us

Owners Geoff and Lily – who are we?

Geoff emigrated from Africa many years ago after coming to New Zealand for the first time, in fact, he came here just to have a look-see and never went back, such was the beauty and tranquility of Aotearoa, the land of the Long White Cloud!

Having grown up in the bush and spent many years in conservation, he cherishes nature and the wilds and would love nothing more than to share his passion with you and guide you to some of the most beautiful places on Earth, right here in New Zealand.

Geoff has owned and run successful businesses in the fresh food and videography industries. He is also a passionate teacher, a certified Microsoft Specialist and an avid photographer.

Lily (Sha Li) hails from Beijing and spent many years working in Hong Kong so is also fluent in Cantonese.

She moved here to make a better future for her son about fourteen years ago and has a distinguished professional career in accounting both here and in China.

Sha Li shares a passion for the beauty of Aotearoa and takes any opportunity to explore and enjoy the unsurpassed natural habitat that is our backyard.

She is also a fine art lover, sitting on the Kings College Art Show Committee, and also plays an active role as a committee member in the Peony Club, which is devoted to better parenting and integration into New Zealand society of Chinese migrant families.

White Cloud Travel was born of a deep desire to share the amazing sights and opportunities of this beautiful land.

We feel constantly blessed living in a country with such stunning landscapes, quiet cities, friendly people, good schooling and a ‘chilled-out’, laid back lifestyle!
